The hey dee ho music program is an educational music experience where children learn the concepts of beat, rhythm, tempo, pitch and dynamics in a play-based environment. Different educational themes are presented each week using props, puppets, costumes and percussion instruments to deliver a multi-sensory experience.
The four key focus areas presented throughout the year are Key Sign Language, multicultural languages, Kodaly (Sol Fa) singing method and spatial awareness. M
This incursion is designed to inspire curiosity about food, encourage healthy habits, and empower children to make positive food choices in a way that is fun and age appropriate. Through fun activities, movement, and sensory play, children will:
• Learn about different types of foods and how they help our bodies grow, move, and feel good.
• Explore the connection between food and energy, discovering how what we eat affects how we feel.
• Get hands-on with interactive food-based activities, including games, storytelling, and movement exercises.
We draw upon our educators' skills at Cuddly Bear, to provide children with opportunities to explore language! Mandarin and French is incorporated into our classroom programs. Songs and props are used as the basis for teaching. Cuddly Bear recognises that learning occurs in social contexts and that interactions and conversations are vitally important for learning. We actively promote children’s learning through worthwhile and challenging experiences and interactions that foster high-level thinking skills.
Cuddly Bear has chickens! We are the home to 4 feathered friends who have been with us since they have hatched. Within this space we also have a sustainable vegetable garden. Children love to visit this space to see how many eggs are ready for collection, and what vegetables might have grown overnight! This project provides an opportunity for children to engage in a shared experience, where they can exercise their critical thinking skills, expressive language and sense of responsibility.
This award winning program draws on the fun of movement and dance, the creativity of music, and the joy of active play. Each week a new and exciting interactive themed adventure is delivered and all of the classes are specially designed to encourage participation, expression and social interaction. Children shine the most when they feel like they belong and Happy Feet classes create a non-competitive, safe, happy environment for all children to learn, laugh and grow.
Child-led nature-play and curiosity are at the heart of this program. Bush kinder connects children with nature in an outdoor setting, allowing children the opportunity to explore independently and participate in caring for our environment mindfully. Exploration of this program across all of our classrooms also supports the implementation of nature-play and sustainability into our centre.
